Town of Vici Hires New Chief of Police

The Town of Vici is excited to announce the hiring of 21+ year police veteran of the Phoenix, AZ police department, Eddie Conaway, as its new Chief of Police.

Chief Conaway is a certified police officer in the state of Arizona and has been employed with the Phoenix Police Department since August 2000. The City of Phoenix has a population of 4.485 million residents. Eddie normally covers a 200 square mile area in his division. Taking care of a roughly one square mile town shouldn’t be a problem but may take some getting used to.

Chief Conaway has received numerous commendations from supervisors and citizens and also named officer of the month three times during his time with the Phoenix PD.

Chief Conaway’s wife, Linda, is a Pre-K teacher, and will be a great addition to the education system in our area after they get settled in. They have four grown daughters between the ages of 21 and 29 and have been married for 29 years.

We have a tentative start date for our new Chief on Monday, May 23rd, 2022. We are eager for him to get started and get introduced to our town and our citizens. Welcome to Vici Chief and Mrs. Conaway.
