Vici is a quiet little town tucked away in the north west corner of Dewey County, with a population of under one thousand. We are rooted in agriculture and oil industry. Recently, we've been picking up pace in the wind industry. Without any stop lights and only a handful of eating options, one may consider Vici boring, but nothing could be further from the truth. Our local organizations work hard to bring entertainment to town and always sponsor a 4th of July to remember with fun activities for the kids and families and a great firework show after dark. One of the greatest sources of entertainment is watching the kids in the community compete and participate in all their school functions. Having been through a few natural disasters together our community bond is strong and there is always someone there to help if anyone needs it.
With generous donations from the community and our county sales tax, the Vici Fire Department has added another freight liner to its fleet equipped with a infrared camera. This will will help see through heavy smoke to keep us from running into other trucks or objects.
